OK! NOW on to Borgo di Vagli!

Here is the sign that greeted us after the 2 km drive on the unpaved steep (30% grade) road. Neil's comment when first turning onto this drive was "oh my f***". It seemed to take us about 30 minutes to drive these two kilometers that first day, this was of course after a day of traveling! When we had pizza later that evening one of our neighbors said he did a Time Trial and did the 2 km in SIX minutes.!!! We assumed he was completely insane. Anyhow, here's the sign:

Below is the view from our patio, with Neil lost in thought... perhaps dreading the drive back down that unpaved road...???

Here is the view from the path of our apartment - we are second from the top of the village! I think the manager put us there because Neil (look carefully and you'll see him here lounging about) told him it was our honeymoon (did I mention he's a very good husband? or at least setting the bar pretty high for future endeavors!)

There was one terrace above ours, and that was the pool level.

Our apartment was one of the few that had a PIZZA OVEN! but no... we didn't use it.

Here is some antipasti we bought at Mercatale, the closest town to us in the valley below. Wooden kitchen utensils (and everything else, for that matter) were made from olive wood.

Mmm.... fresh pesto.....
