This is the view of lower Manhattan from the Manhattan Bridge. You
can see where the towers used to stand, just to the left of my Asian
friend and his bicycle.

This was taken from the Manhattan Bridge overlooking the Manhattan
side - someone had hung a huge sheet over the side of their roof that
reads: "THIS WILL NOT STOP NEW YORK".

Chinatown on Saturday after the disaster, collecting funds for the
NYFD and NYPD.

One of the Fire Stations downtown - every station has photos of the
missing and dead firefighters, I've seen stations missing anywhere
from 5 to 16 members of its family.

This was the scary National Guard Soldier telling people not to touch
the car covered with "ash" from the explosions, as it was
considered Federal Evidence.

This statue is of Minerva, the Goddess of Wisdom, Glory and Patriotism,
who lives in Greenwood Cemetery on the highest point in Brooklyn.
She is saluting the Statue of Liberty across the New York harbor.

Here is Minerva's point of view - the Statue of Liberty is directly
below the red dot in the sky. To the right, behind the trees, is lower
Manhattan and the "new" skyline.

This was the Kenneth Cole window on 5th Avenue (Kenneth Cole is known
for his shoes, and always has witty quotes and sayings in his advertisements).
"What we stand for is more important than what we stand in."

The Maine Memorial Statue at Columbus Circle...

Yes,
yes we are.
